|||||I Can't Get Behind That (Spoken Word) - Henry Rollins||]|
Ok so, we got up at 9:00, because we had to be out of the room by 10:00. We got dressed and had a last look around to see if we had forgotten anything. Fiona decides to lose her phone. I eventually found it in my bag, don't know how it got there. Then my phone goes missing. Fiona rings it and finds it in her hand. Gee, we fail at life. I put on my high school jersey, because the room was a fresh 18 degrees, leave the cleaner about 80 cents worth of 5cent coins and we get the hell out of there.
We go downstairs to settle the bill. There is a line up and I get very hot because I'm wearing a jumper in the middle of summer. The bill paid, we go over to Panthers, as we both need money badly. Then we went to Macca's for a nice greasy breakfast. Over it, we decide that hanging out at Wenty pools would be the perfect way to spend the first day of 2008. So after a quick jaunt down the M4 to our respective parents houses and calling Jayne to see if she and Tristan would like to join us. We went to the pools.
We get there probably about 11:30. I put on sunscreen. Fiona doesn't. Didn't matter really. sun Sense brand doesn't seem to work. We had those diving ring things, so we played around with them until we got bored with them after about half an hour. Then we just tried to drown each other basically having a fantastic time. Then Jayne and Trit showed up. We chatted about our new years and then discussed lunch. We all decided to try the new KFC Filler, which, by the way, is delicious. Then we went back to the pool and all agreed that going to the drive in would be a great night out. We stayed there, until we were too burnt and too annoyed at members of a certain ethnic group.
After the pools I take Fiona home so she can have a shower before we went to the Drive In. I go home and have a shower and some dinner. I go back to Fi's house, pick her up and we go and get some snacks from the Caltex because movie food costs $1,000,000 for a Snickers bar. We saw The Golden Compass. It was alot more interesting than I thought that it would be. What I saw of it anyways. I got a bit distracted. We couldn't stay for the second movie, as Fiona had to start work the next day (sucked in).
All in all, a great day.
